We are having an international (Indonesian, Chinese, German, British, “Guest-Dutch”) friendship, are crazy about food and we love coffee. For us, ethics is very important and sharing our care with others will also give the basis for peace and a more balanced future -- at least, this is what we believe in.
What is so special about our coffee and about Branderij 23? First of all, we have a non-profit business. We do not get any salary for our work. We do a very detailed visual check of the beans before roasting to avoid selling beans with defects, such as chippings, squeezed beans, mouldy beans,...), that means that every single bean you receive was inspected before roasting. This is not meaningless marketing-blurb -- we really do that because it has a positive impact on the taste of the whole batch and every single cup of coffee that gives you pleasure in moments of joy! Last but not least, your tailor-made coffee will be produced after your order to deliver the freshest possible coffee experience. We do not have any roasted coffee on stock.
Our idea is to offer you a tailor-made coffee, roasted in small batch-sizes from friends for friends, having the environmental aspects and fair trade as top priority as well. We will not provide you the “Morning-Mood-Blend” or the “Happiness Coffee” or the “African Blend”. We will provide you “Your Coffee”. Together with you, we will develop your private coffee, that will give you pleasure and the understanding that you are precious. You are interested to find out, how this works? We want to encourage people to get into personal contact again and to step out from the digital parallel life from time to time. Thus, you will not find a webshop on this page and you will not find us on Social Media, but in your neighborhood or while traveling.
